DESCRIPTION
ABB DS201 C10 APR30 – Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overvoltage Release
The ABB DS201 C10 APR30 offers combined residual current and line protection with an integrated surge protector (APR). It protects against fault currents of up to 10 A and a residual current of up to 30 mA. Additionally, the APR mechanism detects dangerous overvoltages and disconnects the circuit. This provides triple protection in a single device.
Your benefits at a glance
- Two protection functions: residual current device (RCD) protection and line protection in one device – saves space and costs.
- Personal protection: 30 mA residual current tripping reliably protects against dangerous touch currents.
- Characteristic C: Optimal for consumers with higher inrush currents (10 A).
- Automatic Voltage Release (APR): Detects dangerous overvoltages and switches off automatically.
- Compact: Only 2 TE (35.0 mm) on the DIN rail.
- ABB quality: Tested according to IEC/EN 61009 and approved worldwide.
Protective function and use
The DS201 C10 APR30 offers integrated surge protection in addition to residual current protection (Type A). This allows it to detect both fault currents and dangerous overvoltages, providing triple protection against overload, fault currents, and overvoltage. The C-type tripping characteristic triggers at 5 to 10 times the rated current, making it suitable for devices with higher inrush currents.

Assembly and wiring
The DS201 C10 APR30 easily snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail. You then connect the conductors using the screw terminals. Power can be fed in from both the top and bottom. Additionally, you can connect the RCBO (residual current circuit breaker with overload protection) to the ABB PS busbar system. Furthermore, the test button simplifies regular functional testing of the RCD section.
