DESCRIPTION
ABB DSX301C C16 A30 – Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Push-in Technology (FlexLine)
The ABB DSX301C C16 A30 combines residual current and circuit protection in a compact device with push-in technology. This RCBO (residual current circuit breaker with overload protection) offers a rated current of 16 A and a residual current tripping current of 30 mA. Thanks to the push-in terminals on the output terminals, wiring is particularly quick. Furthermore, the compact 1-module design saves valuable space in the distribution board.
Your benefits at a glance
- Two protection functions: residual current device (RCD) protection and line protection in one device – saves space and costs.
- Personal protection: 30 mA residual current tripping reliably protects against dangerous touch currents.
- Characteristic C: Optimal for consumers with higher inrush currents (16 A).
- Pulse current sensitive (Type A): Detects alternating and pulsating DC fault currents.
- Push-in technology: Tool-free wiring at the outlet for quick assembly.
- Compact: Only 1 TE on the DIN rail.
- ABB quality: Tested according to IEC/EN 61009 and approved worldwide.
Protective function and use
As a Type A residual current device (RCD), the DSX301C C16 A30 detects both sinusoidal AC fault currents and pulsating DC fault currents. This makes it suitable for circuits with modern electronic devices such as LED dimmers or switched-mode power supplies. Its C-type tripping characteristic triggers at 5 to 10 times the rated current, making it suitable even for devices with higher inrush currents.

Assembly and wiring
The DSX301C C16 A30 snaps directly onto the 35 mm DIN rail. On the input side, you can use the screw terminal or the PSX busbar. On the output side, you connect the conductors without tools using the push-in terminals. This makes wiring particularly quick and secure. Furthermore, feed-in from both the top and bottom is possible. In addition, the integrated test button simplifies regular functional testing of the residual current device (RCD) section. The IP20 protection rating of the terminals also ensures reliable protection against accidental contact.
