DESCRIPTION

ABB FX202 A-40/0.03 – 2-pole residual current circuit breaker with push-in technology

The ABB FX202 A-40/0.03 combines reliable residual current protection with convenient push-in technology. This 2-pole residual current circuit breaker protects against dangerous residual currents with a rated current of 40 A and a tripping current of 30 mA. Thanks to the push-in terminals on the output terminals, wiring is particularly quick and easy.

Your benefits at a glance

  • Personal protection: A 30 mA tripping current reliably protects against dangerous touch currents.
  • Pulse current sensitive (Type A): Detects alternating fault currents and pulsating direct fault currents – for modern electronics.
  • Push-in technology: Tool-free wiring at the outlet for quick and secure installation.
  • Space-saving: Compact 2-TE design (35.0 mm) for DIN rail mounting.
  • ABB quality: Tested according to IEC/EN 61008 and approved for worldwide use.

Protective function and use

Type A residual current devices (RCDs) detect both sinusoidal alternating currents and pulsating direct currents. This makes them suitable for circuits with modern electronic devices such as LED dimmers, switched-mode power supplies, or induction cooktops. The rated residual current of 30 mA provides personal protection against direct and indirect contact, minimizing the risk of a dangerous electric shock. Experts also recommend regularly testing the RCD using the test button.

Assembly and wiring

The FX202 A-40/0.03 snaps directly onto the 35 mm DIN rail. On the input side, you connect the conductors via the screw terminal. On the output side, you use the convenient push-in terminals for tool-free connection. The residual current device (RCD) can also be combined with the ABB PSX busbar system. This significantly simplifies cross-wiring in the distribution board. Additionally, feed-in from both the top and bottom is possible.
