The self-closing hinged cover snaps shut automatically after the plug is disconnected. This ensures that the IP55 protection rating is maintained at all times. If needed, you can also manually lock the cover in the open position. Furthermore, a full-surface seal under the base of the housing provides a secure seal on the back.
Installation is straightforward. Thanks to the funnel-shaped mounting holes, you can quickly find the perfect attachment position. You also have the choice between screw mounting and claw mounting. The insert simply snaps into the housing, and the frame is securely fixed via a bayonet quick-release mechanism.
Connection is made via push-in terminals for conductor cross-sections from 1.0 to 2.5 mm². A Wago 2-conductor connector is also included, and the base of the housing has two snap-in slots for additional terminals. This leaves enough space for neat wiring under the base.
The terminal blocks comply with VDE 0620 standard and DIN 49440 design. Furthermore, the housing screws and hinged cover springs are made of stainless steel. The impact-resistant thermoplastic housing is halogen-free and therefore environmentally friendly.
