Eaton PFIM-63/4/003-G/A-MW residual current circuit breaker
The Eaton PFIM-63/4/003-G/A-MW residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) belongs to the proven Eaton xPole series and is designed for use in residential and commercial buildings. With its 4-pole design, it is suitable for three-phase circuits with a rated current of 63 A.
This residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) is classified as a short-time delayed type G/A according to ÖVE E 8601 and trips at a fault current of 30 mA. Its short-time delayed operation prevents short surge currents (for example, when switching on devices) from causing false tripping.
It detects both sinusoidal alternating fault currents and pulsating direct fault currents. This is particularly relevant in applications with electronic loads such as frequency converters, charging stations, or LED dimmers.
Installation is straightforward: simply click the device onto a DIN rail according to IEC/EN 60715. Thanks to the jaw and lift terminals, connection is quick and secure. You can use solid conductors from 1.5 mm² to 35 mm² and stranded conductors up to 16 mm² (2x).
In terms of safety, the PFIM-63/4/003-G/A-MW complies with the IEC/EN 61008 and ÖVE E 8601 standards. Its rated short-circuit withstand voltage is 10 kA, and its rated insulation voltage is 440 V. Furthermore, the device features an impulse current withstand rating of 3 kA. Protection class IP20 (IP40 with a suitable enclosure) ensures protection against electric shock.
