Eaton PLSM-B6/1N-MW miniature circuit breaker – 6A with integrated neutral protection
The Eaton PLSM-B6/1N-MW miniature circuit breaker combines the phase and neutral conductors in a single compact housing. It protects circuits with a rated current of 6 amps. This means that in the event of a fault, both the phase and neutral are disconnected simultaneously. Therefore, it offers a higher level of safety than purely single-pole circuit breakers.
Thanks to its B-type tripping characteristic, this circuit breaker is particularly suitable for resistive loads. These include lighting circuits, sockets, and heating systems. The B-type characteristic causes magnetic tripping at 3 to 5 times the rated current. Consequently, false tripping is impossible under normal operating conditions.
Furthermore, the PLSM-B6/1N-MW offers a breaking capacity of 10 kA according to IEC/EN 60898-1. It also features energy limiting class 3. Additionally, the insulation voltage of 440 V protects against voltage breakdowns. Thus, comprehensive protection is ensured.
The Eaton PLSM-B6/1N-MW miniature circuit breaker occupies 1.5 DIN rail units (26.3 mm). Despite its integrated neutral protection, it is more compact than two separate circuit breakers. It also accepts conductor cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm² and can be expanded with additional components.
