Eaton PLSM-C10-MW miniature circuit breaker – 10A protection for inductive loads
The Eaton PLSM-C10-MW miniature circuit breaker protects circuits with a rated current of 10 amps. It features a C-type tripping characteristic, making it ideal for circuits with inductive or capacitive loads. Therefore, it is used where higher inrush currents occur.
Characteristic curve C triggers magnetically at 5 to 10 times the rated current. In comparison, characteristic curve B reacts at 3 to 5 times the rated current. Consequently, the PLSM-C10-MW tolerates higher inrush current peaks. This makes it particularly suitable for motors, transformers, and compressors.
Furthermore, the switch has a rated breaking capacity of 10 kA according to IEC/EN 60898-1. Additionally, energy limiting class 3 limits the let-through energy in the event of a fault. It also withstands impulse voltages of up to 4 kV. Thus, it offers comprehensive protection for your installation.
The Eaton PLSM-C10-MW miniature circuit breaker is mounted on a standard DIN rail, occupying only 1 DIN rail module (17.5 mm²). It also accepts conductor cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm² and can be expanded with auxiliary switches and other accessories.
