The Eaton PLSM-C16-MW miniature circuit breaker protects 16-ampere circuits with a C-curve tripping characteristic. This makes it particularly suitable for inductive loads, such as motors, pumps, compressors, and transformers. It is part of Eaton's reliable xPole series.
The key advantage of characteristic curve C lies in its higher tolerance to inrush currents. It triggers magnetically at 5 to 10 times the rated current. This allows for the tolerance of short-term current spikes during motor start-up. Consequently, the power supply remains stable and uninterrupted.
Furthermore, the PLSM-C16-MW offers a rated breaking capacity of 10 kA according to IEC/EN 60898-1. It also features energy limiting class 3. Additionally, an impulse voltage withstand of 4 kV protects against transient overvoltages. Therefore, your systems are fully protected.
