The Eaton PLSM-C20-MW miniature circuit breaker protects circuits with a rated current of 20 amps. It features a C-type tripping characteristic, making it suitable for circuits with inductive loads and higher inrush currents. Therefore, it is particularly well-suited for larger motors and compressors.
Characteristic curve C triggers magnetically at 5 to 10 times the rated current. This allows it to tolerate higher inrush currents than characteristic curve B. Consequently, false tripping does not occur when switching on inductive loads. Furthermore, line protection remains fully guaranteed.
Furthermore, the PLSM-C20-MW offers a breaking capacity of 10 kA according to IEC/EN 60898-1. Additionally, energy limiting class 3 protects against high let-through energy. This ensures your installations are reliably protected even in the event of severe short circuits. The switch also meets the requirements of overvoltage category III.
