Eaton PLSM-C6-MW miniature circuit breaker – 6A with C-curve for inductive loads
The Eaton PLSM-C6-MW miniature circuit breaker protects circuits with a rated current of 6 amps. It features a C-type tripping characteristic, making it specifically designed for inductive and capacitive loads such as motors, transformers, and fluorescent lamps with conventional ballasts.
The difference to characteristic curve B lies in the magnetic tripping range. Characteristic curve C trips at 5 to 10 times the rated current. This allows for higher inrush currents. Consequently, you avoid unwanted tripping with inductive loads. Furthermore, line protection remains guaranteed at all times.
Furthermore, the PLSM-C6-MW offers a breaking capacity of 10 kA according to IEC/EN 60898-1. Additionally, energy limiting class 3 protects against excessive let-through energy, thus ensuring comprehensive short-circuit protection. This switch is part of Eaton's proven xPole series.
Mounting on the DIN rail is quick and easy. The Eaton PLSM-C6-MW circuit breaker occupies only 1 TE (17.5 mm²). It can also be used with conductor cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm² and is compatible with various auxiliary devices.
