The AC ELWA 2 is a continuously controlled hot water preparation unit (0–3.5 kW) for grid-connected photovoltaic systems and the successor to the proven AC ELWA-E.

The AC ELWA 2 uses excess photovoltaic energy for hot water preparation, thus optimizing the self-consumption of existing PV systems. At the same time, it increases energy independence – protecting against rising operating costs in the long term.

The stepless control regulates the PV feed-in power to zero. Even with insufficient solar radiation, the optional hot water backup ensures that energy from the public grid heats the water to the desired temperature. The unit can be integrated into both hot water and buffer storage tanks.
